Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI) Launch, NYC
April 23rd-24th, Food Tank will co-host a Science and Education Symposium around the Launch of the Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI). The event will take place at the New York City Botanical Gardens.
Food is Medicine National Summit
On April 24-25th, Danielle Nierenberg will join Tufts University as a speaker at the annual Food is Medicine National Summit in Boston which brings together faculty from the Friedman School, Tufts University School of Medicine, Tufts Medicine, and other local and national partners to advance research, training, patient care, community and policy engagement around Food is Medicine.
Stop Food Waste Day, NYC
On the evening of April 24th, 2024, Food Tank will co-host Stop Food Waste in New York City to celebrate the New York community's commitment to reducing food waste.

On April 30th-May 2nd, Danielle Nierenberg will speak at Google Food Lab in Chicago.

The Milken Institute’s 27th Annual Global Conference
On May 5-8, 2024, Food Tank will be in attendance at The Milken Institute’s 27th Annual Global Conference at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Danielle Nierenberg will moderate the panel, "Food Systems as an Asset Class – Financing a Sustainable Future" on May 6.
Food As Medicine Summit, Chicago
Food Tank will be in Chicago, Illinois May 21st - 22nd for the Food As Medicine Summit where Danielle Nierenberg will speak on a panel around moving from research to action, scaling Food as Medicine through partnerships, and advancing Food as Medicine approaches and programs.

Julia Child Award DC Food History Celebration at the Smithsonian
On June 3rd, Danielle Nierenberg will join other recipients of the Julia Child Award at the Smithsonian for a celebration of food history in Washington, D.C..
Menus of Change Leadership Summit
On June 12th-13th, Danielle Nierenberg will attend the 2024 Menus of Change Leadership Summit as a speaker in Hyde Park, New York. The goal for the summit is provide guidance for executives and operators navigating the convergence of nutrition, public health, and environmental and social imperatives within the foodservice industry.
London Climate Action Week: Food and Agriculture as a Solution to the Climate Crisis
On June 26th, join Food Tank in London for the Summit, "Food and Agriculture as a Solution to the Climate Crisis" during London Climate Week.

Join us August 24-26, 2024 for the 26th Annual Niman Ranch Hog Farmer Appreciation Celebration in honor of family farmers co-hosted by Niman Ranch and Food Tank in Des Moines, Iowa. The event will feature panel discussions moderated by top food journalists, farm tours and a special celebration dinner.
