Teresa Romero, UFW president is the first female president of the United Farmworkers Union on Monday, April 1, 2019 she visited the State Capitol. Romero who was born in Mexico City is the granddaughter of a Zapotec Indian from the state of Oaxaca and former business woman who moved up etc ranks in the union.
