Ashoka Changemakers, the largest organization of social entrepreneurs, is launching a new competition entitled Nutrients for All: Vitality for People and the Planet.
Leading social entrepreneurs, innovators, and thought leaders are encouraged to tackle issues such as malnutrition, obesity and issues in public health and the environment.
Through their competition, Ashoka will address the dual problems of the two billion people worldwide plagued with the “hidden hunger” of malnutrition, and the one billion people are over-fed, but who also have poor diets and poor health. By addressing the health issues experienced by both groups, Ashoka’s competition plays a part in working towards a more sustainable and healthier future for all.
This global competition will be open until May 15th for early entry, and June 19th for late entries. Ashoka urges those with innovative ideas and projects regarding the food we eat, the environment from which it comes from and public health to enter for a chance to win US$45,000 in unrestricted funding.
Ashoka also encourages those not participating in the competition to join the movement by sharing a story, nominating an innovator or participate in the conversation.
