Can I use this website anonymously?
Yes. Food Tank will collect no personally identifiable information from you unless you choose to provide that information to us by filling out an online form.
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you purchase a membership, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, publish content, or fill out any other form on our website. When purchasing a membership or filling out another form on our website, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information.
In addition, we aggregate information about normal website usage that is not personally identifiable, so that we can improve our user experience.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- To improve our website
- To serve Food Tank members, and other website users
- To process transactions
- To administer an online survey or other site feature
- To send periodic emails (if you have chosen to sign-up for our email newsletter, or purchased a membership)
- To contact you by phone or mail about your Food Tank membership, or special Food Tank events
The email address you provide when purchasing a membership will be used to send you a receipt for your purchase, in addition to periodic membership updates.
If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety.
