Certainly not what he ever thought he'd be doing, Mike Ilardi works for a social media startup in San Francisco. A native New Yorker, he moved to Chicago after graduating from Vassar College and worked at Uncommon Ground as an urban farmer and server. After a year in the Midwest he moved to the Bay Area, dabbled in historical freelance writing and PR, and ended up living in Oakland. Mike spends his free time cycling, mentoring high school entrepreneurs through BUILD, and, most recently, contributing to Food Tank.
