Regina Beidler
1 Articles0 CommentsRegina and her husband, Brent, own and operate a 40 cow organic dairy in Randolph Center, VT. The farm also grows a small quantity of grain that is milled as flour on farm for sale in local markets. As first generation farmers, the Beidlers bought their farm in 1998 and transitioned to organic production joining Organic Valley/CROPP cooperative in March, 2000. The Beidler’s cows have been grain free for the past nine years. This decision was made with an eye towards long term sustainability and the desire for a self contained production system. Regina has worked with Organic Valley’s Farmers in Marketing program for the past 12 years connecting farmer owners with consumers, retailers and others for a better understanding of organic farming. She also is a co-chair for the Production and Processing Working Group for Farm to Plate which is a Vermont legislative initiative that strives to strengthen the local state food system from production to consumption.
