The deadline for the 2015 Millennium Development Goals is fast approaching, but there’s still much progress to be made. Landesa’s new website, Land Post-2015, offers a wide variety of resources to contribute to a post-2015 global development agenda.
These resources emphasize the importance of secure land rights for men and women all over the world, placing this issue at the forefront of development for the years beyond 2015. They include talking points on land rights, information on courses of action to be taken after 2015, and many advocacy guides.
Landesa’s work to provide marginalized peoples – women, small farmers, and people living in poverty – with rights to land has made progress in alleviating poverty and hunger in their target areas. This new website should provide support to other organizations, policymakers, and practitioners that also seek to effect change through land policy and property rights.
