Emerson Wells is a Research and Writing Intern at Food Tank. She earned a B.S. in Environmental and Ecological Science from Elon University and is a current MSES-MPA candidate with the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington. Born and raised in western North Carolina, Emerson has a love for Appalachia, the rural south, and sustainable food systems work. In her free time, you'll likely find her on a walk, in her kitchen, or in a community garden.
