Jean Willoughby is a writer and film/video producer. She co-wrote and produced the documentary film Under Contract: Farmers and the Fine Print (2017). Her latest book is Nature’s Remedies: An Illustrated Guide to Healing Herbs (Chronicle Books, 2016). Her articles and essays have been published in YES! Magazine, MAKE: Magazine (online), Agrarian Trust, and The New Farmer's Almanac. Previously, Jean managed a grant program for innovative farmers and food businesses for five years and served as a project director and communications manager at an international agricultural nonprofit. Jean earned a B.A. in Sociology from Wesleyan University.
