James Tefft works for the FAO Investment Centre in Rome, Italy. He spent a number of years as the Centre’s liaison officer to the World Bank, based in Washington, DC and working on urban food system issues.  He also worked as the FAO Senior Policy Officer in the Africa Region. Before joining FAO, Jim worked on Michigan State University’s Food Security Project in West Africa, focusing on agricultural commodity value chains, market information systems and linkages between agricultural productivity growth and child malnutrition.
