Mia Dell is the Chief Lobbyist at the UFCW International Union, representing over 1.3 million workers in the food processing and retail industries. She has presented at many conferences about the link between worker safety and food safety including the National Environmental Health Association, Community Food Security Coalition, and the Chicago Food Policy Conference. Mia is a board member of Food Policy Action, and an advisor for the Consumer Federation of America’s Annual Food Policy Conference. Prior to this, Mia was a nutrition lobbyist for the Center for Science in the Public Interest, working to pass menu labeling in jurisdictions around the country and also worked for many years as a Legislative Director on Capitol Hill. Earlier still, Mia was an attorney representing tenants for Bronx Legal Services who were at risk of losing their homes.
