As part of its initiative to redefine healthy, Cooking Light recently released a list of 30 pioneers challenging our food culture, which ranges from farmers and chefs to tech entrepreneurs and policy experts.
In honor of the magazine’s 30th anniversary, Cooking Light‘s April issue redefines what it means to be healthy today, presenting a more individualized definition of the word—including the 30 Faces of the New Healthy.
First on the list is Food Tank’s president and founder Danielle Nierenberg. “Researcher and activist Danielle Nierenberg calls attention to the world’s most pressing food issues—hunger, obesity, nutrition, and sustainability—in an effort to bring together eaters, producers, and policy-makers to fix our flawed food system.”
Other food system leaders included on the list are Patrick Brown, creator of the infamous Impossible Burger, and Michelle Obama, former First Lady and founder of the Let’s Move! initiative.
