Jenn Yates is a campaign strategist with over 15 years experience running political and issue-based advocacy campaigns. At the Union of Concerned Scientists, Jenn directs efforts to influence policymakers and build public support for a healthier, more sustainable food system. From campaigns to limit antibiotic overuse in animal agriculture to efforts to shift public investments toward healthier food and sustainable farming, Jenn has helped achieve policy victories and change the public discourse on how food is produced in the U.S. Prior to joining UCS in 2002, Jenn worked on political campaigns in California and Washington state. She holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University and an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Mass Communications from U.C. Berkeley.
