The Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) just launched a new version of their “Big Facts” microsite featuring infographics on topics relating to climate change, agriculture, and food security. CCAFS brings together some of the best experts and researchers who contribute vital knowledge resources to global issues regarding food security.
The new website provides an improved visualization of facts concerning population, diet, nutrition, farming emissions, climate impact on farming, and other topics related to the CCAFS research program. The use of infographics allows for a new view of the synergies and relationships between the contributing factors of climate change, agriculture, and food security. Explaining data through graphics often improves the understanding of information by providing a visual connection to the numbers.
Join together with journalists, scientists, and others to gain knowledge on the important issues of global climate change, agriculture, and food security by checking out CCAFS’s new microsite at: http://ccafs.cgiar.org/bigfacts2014/#.
