As part of Rethink Ag and Food Innovation Week, the Future Food-Tech Summit will be held in Silicon Valley on March 29 and 30, 2017. Investors, start-ups, technology companies, and food and ingredients manufacturers will convene to develop solutions to meet the global food challenge during the two-day event.
Among this year’s Future Food-Tech speakers are Margaret Dohnalek, Global Head of Technology Scouting at PepsiCo; Mary Kay James, Vice President and General Manager of Tyson New Ventures; Chris Mallett, Corporate Vice President, Research & Development at Cargill; and Bruce Friedrich, Executive Director of The Good Food Institute. Panel discussions will address key questions: What are the mega trends set to disrupt the global food system? Why are big meat companies investing in meat-free alternatives? What will future generations be demanding from food?
The Summit is intended to create a forum for networking, debate, discussion, and learning while giving new food innovators the opportunity to pitch their early to mid-stage companies to an audience of global food businesses, technology integrators, and venture capital investors. The 250-person audience will include brands such as Campbell’s, Dannon, Nestle, PepsiCo, Target, Tate & Lyle, and Tyson Foods, as well as industry VCs and food-tech entrepreneurs.
The Rethink Ag and Food Innovation Week consists of the World Agri-tech Innovation Summit, the Future Food-Tech Summit, a Pre-Summit Tour on Innovation in Action, and an Access Latin America Workshop. Future Food-Tech is an annual event which is held in London, New York City, and San Francisco.
